The LocK-A-FoLdeR program should usually be found in the Windows Start Menu or the Program Files folder. Can you please try searching for the program using the Windows search bar or check the Program Files folder again?

If you have lost a file in LocK-A-FoLdeR, you can try using data recovery software or reach out to the program's support team for assistance in retrieving your file.

I forgot my password and would like to unlock lock a folder without losing what's inside.

The LocK-A-FoLdeR project has been abandoned which means that the developer won't provide support anymore for any of the inquiries (password forgot included).

The project is still hosted at the Code Google Archive, but I didn't find anything about it when it comes to resetting or recovering the password. The whole idea of these applications is to protect the data without any recovery options, that's why you have been probably notified to create a strong password and note it somewhre because recovery would be impossible.

I have forgotten the passwords for accessing my folder. I was using a very old version of the software. Please, let me know how I can log in.

Unfortunately, applications like Lock-A-FoLdeR are specifically designed to stop people that don't have the right password from finding, viewing or modifying the contents of specific folders. As far as I know, the program doesn't have any backdoors, so if you lost your password, you pretty much lost access to that folder.

Reportedly, other users have been able to unlock a folder by moving it to a different computer, but I can't guarantee that this will work. In case you're trying this solution and the name is changed: instead of Folder Name, it is now Folder Name (32421231235), delete all the extra characters leaving just the folder's original name.
